UPDATE ON Alaska Women Against Palin RALLY INFO

Let the nation know Palin's voice does NOT speak for these Alaska Women!!!!!!!

ALASKA WOMEN AGAINST REJECT PALIN:

You were prophetic today, Anthromama! Apparently they changed the name last night. Not such a negative connotation.

How funny! And "reject" is an action, much more empowering than "against".

This is great! I KNEW women in Alaska had to be smarter than their governor seems to give them credit for! But can you all do us a favor and take her back? Please??? LOL

Here in Ohio, there are plenty of us standing with you. Give her hell on Saturday!

Way to go girls! I'm with you in spirit. I'm down in Seattle, and just got home from hanging with some of my girl friends. All of which are outraged by Palin!!!

Maybe if the folks up there in AK would come forward and tell the truth about her, she would have to step down as the VP Nominee AND Governor.

God Bless these true pioneers. I hope that they will post a place where we can donate to their cause. I suppose they have expenses in their fight for truth.

If anyone was walking through the grocery store today, they saw the Palin children being crucified by the enquirer. Unfortunetely, the claims they made about the drug and alcohol abuse by the teenagers is probably true. But, that is not what makes me against Palin.

Her judgment is what makes me reject Palin.

How can a mom, knowing that the kids had skeletons, parade her kids around like the Brady Bunch just so she can maintain a spotlight and a microphone.???

These kids will forever be the poster children for abstinence vs sex ed, and it will give more fodder for those who say that women belong in the home raising kids,, and it will always show the bad judgment of the neocons that lust for power.

But, it will be their lives that are ruined. Even if the stories are only half true, they will be looked at differently all through their futures, and the flurry hasn't really even started yet.

So, thanks to the Alaskan women that are willing to stand up to this she devil that has the power to make their lives and their families lives hell in the future. I hope we will all support them..

PS.. I am a real Christian.

Good Morning to my fellow women in arms, fighting the good fight of true righteous.

I wish to commend you again on standing and telling truth to power, and yes, to the corruption that is entrenched and has lorded over you in your wonderful and pristene state. if only your politicians were so pristine.

The USA, and indeed, the free world will honor you as heroes, as your wonderful efforts may be the one thing that stands between truth, democracy and the American dream and dictatorship from the rich and connected.

Yes, it was not long ago that the world was victim to the Rovian, Bush neocon irrational and illegal invasion of an innocent country. Why? Because the media did not really vet the administrations claims that led us into an unspeakably terrible war sin - the sin where the blood of innocent children. and indeed the blood America's finest and bravest was offered up upon the altar of big oil, defense contracts, and of course, Haliburton profit. From there the lack of comprehensive reporting was stifled by the accusations of reporters being unpatriotic for not supporting a sitting president in a time of war. Yes, the reporters were called a threat to national security for simply asking the questions that were on every Americans mind. If they crossed the line too far, they were never again given opportunity to attend press conferences. And the whistleblowers of the past eight years have taken their own lives and livelihoods into their own hands whilst they tried to tell the American people that the flock was beeing fleeced, misled and raped by this administration.

So, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I want to remind you that your efforts could be the main thing that will keep the blood of the innocent off of the American hands in the future.

If we lose this election, it will not be because the women of this world did not stand up and speak.Even the women who risk being targets of revenge from the almighty barraccuda; Your willingness to put your wellbeing at risk is more than commendable.

If the Governror's attack machine punishes you for your truth, I am truly sorry, and forever in your debt. You have shown true patriotism. If you start to feel the heat from your adversary, please let the word out. I am sure that the national media will make a way to come and expose anyone who will attack you.

Thank you, And God Bless. JT

As an ex Michigander I will make and proudly hold a sign at the rally for my beautiful sisters in Michigan. Palin is not qualified and her positions are anti-women. Read more about her at the adn.com web site. They are now using Rovian tactics to delay judgment on the abuse of power troopergate issue. This is all very disgusting

Wow, what a difference one person can make in a state. I'm so glad we are this fortunate to have Gov. Sarah Palin to represent us as Alaskans. She has really helped put us on the map and show Alaska in a great light. I wished we didn't have to share her with the rest of the country but it is for the greater good. She sure does scare that shady obama character. He is starting to stutter alot and spending all of his time to try to make Gov. Palin look bad instead of running a good campaign. She is just a breath of fresh air in this state. Gov. Palin you are awesome.

We re getting sick and tired of Sarah, Sarah, Sarah the cheerleader for the Republican party always in the media. She has no substance or experience in anything of a national scale, or international scale. What has she done for women lately? She enjoys killing animals, yet claims to be pro life. She pooh poohs Global Warming and supports aerial shooting of wolves and bears in Alaska as a form of predator control so she and her kind will have more moose to hunt. Well I grew up on moose meat too, and hunted and fished, but I care about protecting our precious Alaska environment . Sarah is only concerned what we can get out of Alaska than what we can do for the welfare of our natural world . I am very very afraid what would happen to our world if this gun toting, right wing religious pitbull in lipstick were to become our next president.

AKSHAMU-Would you care to explain just HOW I'm a bigot and homophobe?!?! Do tell!

Julia O said...

akshamu can't explain why anyone is a homophobe and bigot besides herself.

I don't know much about Alaska. My uncle visited there in his youth, kind of an "Into the Wild" experience that had a happy ending, and he has so many beautiful photos. But beyond that, I didn't know anything about the sensibilities of the people, and when Palin became the Repub VP nominee, I was just completely baffled.

I was thinking, "Don't women in Alaska have the same concerns about a wasteful, immoral war and equality and the supreme court as the rest of us?"

Well, thankfully, as shown by these brave ladies, the answer is "YES!"

So thank you, thank you, thank you for standing up to this person masquerading as a feminist, a reformer, a maverick, you name it. Every time she opens her mouth, another lie pours forth. Finally the media are starting to pick up on it and take the kid gloves off.

And to those Alaskan women who think she is sooooo special: why don't you do the rest of the country, not to mention the generations that will follow, a HUGE favor and keep caribou barbie all for yourselves?

akshamu said...

runninl8 - What else do you call your vitriol against a woman who merely holds a different view from you? Can't you even be honest with yourself? Yes, Sarah Palin has strong personal views about abortion and family values, but show me one act as Governor that she has done to actively promote those viewpoints. In addition, where do you get the conceitedness to even think that you speak for most women and families? If you are not bigoted then why do you vilify any women who does not believe in killing unborn babies?

akshamu said...

If you really need an example of homophobic and bigoted comments then all you have to do is read what julia o wrote when she tried to accuse me of the same.

"And to those Alaskan women who think she is sooooo special: why don't you do the rest of the country, not to mention the generations that will follow, a HUGE favor and keep caribou barbie all for yourselves?"

Julia O said...

Is akshamu saying Palin is a lesbian or a person of color (besides from her in-house tanning bed - LOL)?

Runninl8, you've probably got the right idea: don't debate stupid.

But listen, stupid, you're whining b/c people have a problem with someone "who holds a different view". Well, normally I don't. However, when someone is trying to take women backwards for DECADES, and has any shot of actually being in power to do so, you bet you are going to hear vitriol from women. No doubt about it.

She is entitled to her beliefs, as are all Americans. However, she is not entitled to shove said beliefs (many of which are very weird) down the throats of the rest of us. So yes, if you are truly an Alaskan, we wish you would keep caribou barbie's "special-ness" all to yourself. That's not homophobic (what????), that's not racist (what????), that's not sexist (yes, as a woman, I'd love to see a woman in the white house, but sorry, not just any woman will do), that's just the way it is.

You are entitled to your opinion; however, you are not entitled to your own facts. - Daniel Patrick Moynihan

JuliaO-good retort!Thanks!

A reminder to all-The political dialogue would be put to better use over on MEET SARAH. I created that blog for the Plain info and to get back to mommy stuff on this blog! Thanks!

I see anyone who has a different view than you must be stupid. How pathetic. Your sorry fear leads to these hate filled attacks on Governor Palin personally and her family, but you can't even debate the issues. You don't debate me because you know your unable to have an intelligent discussion on your views. Takes women back???? only in your warped life. I feel sorry for the values you appear to be raising your kids with.

Dems Threaten Anti-Iran Rally Organizers With IRS Attack if They Let Palin Speak
By Warner Todd Huston (Bio | Archive)
September 21, 2008 - 02:06 ET

News has emerged that the organizers of that anti-Iran rally that famously got snarled up in Senator Hillary Clinton's ire at Governor Sarah Palin last week were threatened by New York Democrats with IRS action against their tax-exempt status if they allowed Palin to speak. CBS local NY news reported this little fact and so did NBC but most of the national news has ignored this outrageous threat to use the IRS to silence Governor Palin.

So this is what we have to look forward to from people such as yourself? This is how your candidate and his party react, how enlightend. COWARDS!
